Good day!
I'm very pleased that this Circus Galop, written so long ago (1994) is still generating interest.
Over the last few years I've been bewildered as to the amount of attention this piece has been getting, and believe me, I'm thankful for it all. I must however implore anyone who would ever use the piece for animation purposes NOT to use the MIDI file that is currently circulating and available for download, since it was not made by me and is replete with errors. (Consequently, almost every single YouTube posting of it is misrepresentative.) The soundtrack to use should come from the following commercially-available CD:
http://www.amazon.com/Player-Piano-Vol-Compositions-Tradition/dp/B0016ORPPM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1328350329&sr=8-2
Also, I would ask the owners of this site to write me at the enclosed email address; I have a couple of other documents relating to the piece which might be of interest, including a lengthy text which goes into great detail about the background to this piece.
Many thanks and all best,
Marc-André Hamelin
