In his blog, John K Stuff, John Kricfalusi has been discussing how he structures his stories.
Here is an excerpt from the original storyboard to "Stimpy’s Invention". Most of this board is by Bob Camp; supplemented by a few xeroxes of layout drawings by Chris Reccardi. Take a moment and read John K’s notes on how he constucts his stories… (Part One / Part Two / Part Three / Part Four and his post on Outlining Stories) and then take a look at how the theories are implemented in this section of board.

Wow, i remember this! Funny stuff! Kudos to making a post on this, Steve!
I love looking at this kind of stuff. Thanks!
Wow Nice! Next you should post that interview John K had with Joe Barbera!
One of the most memorable scenes in the whole series! And what awesome drawings! Totally full of life and character.
A bunch of this was animated by the always talented Chris Sauve.
I wrote this cartoon and did the storyboard.
Didn’t you guys both do it?
At least two people did, based on how unconsistent the drawings are, if not John.
The credits for this board are in the article… the board is by Bob Camp, and it is supplemented by xeroxes of layouts by Chris Reccardi.
