Norelius was born in Sweden and spent his working career as an illustrator for various works and also as a children’s book writer and illustrator.

Einar Norelius had two brothers
Education/Training
Between the years 1927 and 1980, Einar was the chief illustrator of Bland Tomtar Och Troll, a Swedish folklore story illustrated annually every Christmas. Bland Tomtar Och Troll was originally created by John Bauer. When Bauer died, Gustaf Tenggren succeeded him. When Tenggren moved to America, his job as chief illustrator transfered to Norelius. Hans Arnold succeeded Norelius when he ceased his work on Bland Tomtar Och Troll.
Jumbo i Djungeln (1938) made an appearance in the magazine Tuff Och Tuss.
In 1946, Norelius created the children’s picture book, Jim, Jock & Jumbo.
His work is currently displayed in the National Museum in Sweden and the Museum of Dalarna located in his hometown, Falun, Sweden
