Came to New York in 1919, sold some illustrations to the Judge and Life magazines. Barlow was known for his satirical cartoons which were in the New Yorker, he was also a staff member there.

Comments On Style

Very political to “pretty” picures. The cartoons from the New Yorker show his humor best. The minimalistic cartoons convey a lot of attitude. The covers look a little like illustrated watercolors, the effect is very interesting to look at.
